Privacy and persistenceYour funding brief is sent to the Funding Discovery service to build the shortlist. New searches request an opaque record ID, while the address bar stays on the home route until you explicitly share. The brief and results are cached in this browser for up to six hours; click-based personalization stays local. Shared links require no account or password, so anyone who receives a link can open that shared record.
What the service measures
Product telemetry is limited to task-level events and technical status so the service can find failed searches, weak handoffs, and useful workflow features.
Measured: search success/failure and duration, evidence/application actions, share/PDF actions, retries, and counts or status changes in the local research workflow.
Not included in telemetry metadata: your funding-brief text, private-note text, comparison contents, or checklist labels.
Funder-level events may include the funder/opportunity identifier already present in the shortlist.
